Accounts Receivable deals with the invoicing, Collection, Categorization and Reporting of Revenue

The MKMS Accounts Receivable module provides all of the functionality you should need to maintain a detailed Subscriber database, manage your Sales, Collections, Recurring Billing, Post of your Receipts and print Receivables and Sales Analysis Reports, print Invoices and Statements, and performing the dozens of other tasks necessary to properly manage your Company's Accounts Receivable System.
It is accessed from the Main Menu by Clicking Outlook Bar on the Main Menu, Choosing Accounts Receivable then Selecting F3 Subscriber (or Pressing the F-3 function key).

To start using the Accounts Receivable System module:
Read this Accounts Receivable Overview chapter completely to get a better understanding of what needs to be done.
Identify your Bank Accounts in Bank Maintenance to identify what cash accounts you will be using to deposit your Receipts.
Enter your Employees, at least for your Sales Personnel.
Later, as you start the Service Tracking and Monitoring modules, you will return and enter those Employees who are Technicians and Operator, respectively.
Each module's Overview section will remind you that those additional Employees should to be entered.
Complete all of the Accounts Receivable Maintenance Entries (see below in "What's Next?" for detailed information about this step).
Enter your Subscriber Information.
Complete the Account Information tab, enter Automatic Billing information, and assign a Bill Payer address, if needed.
Establish each Subscriber's Starting Balance.
Set up the Auto Draft rules for automatic Credit Card or Bank Draft payments, if applicable.

Once you've completed the basic data entry, to properly use the Accounts Receivable System module:
Perform the Daily Procedures, as required.
Monthly (at least) perform your Periodic Procedures.
Track Recurring Revenue growth with the Recurring & Other Revenue Reports.
Measure your success by Reporting the Results.

 

What's Next? What should I do First?
Complete the Accounts Receivable System module's User Option entries.
Enter your Employee Codes.
Define your Sales Tax rules.
Create codes and descriptions for each type of Recurring Revenue you will be billing.
Define the non-recurring revenue Sales Categories you will be billing.
Identify your Bank Account(s) in Bank Maintenance.
