Base CSID HelpFilesSearchIconIf you have defined - as Subscribers Entries (and their associated data) - one or more default sets of CSID Zones, People To Call and Events for each of your Dealers using the various Monitoring Information Forms, you may select a Base CSID (A CSID assigned to one of those Subscribers Entries) to which those predefined CSID Zones, People To Call and Events were attached so this information can be automatically copied into each New Account created for the selected Alarm Dealer using the Mass Account Creation process.
Note #1: Every Dealer must also be defined as a Subscriber - see Special Subscriber, Subscriber Panel, Panel Zone & CSID Zone Entries.
Note #2: This Base CSID name is not the same as the Base CSID defined within the CSID Generator Form which - in that case - is defining the starting point for an automatically maintained New Account Numbering Sequence.
See Locating the desired Base CSID.
In a similar manner to how a Master CSID provides CSID Zones, People To Call and Events for the Subscriber Panel's CSIDs, the Base CSID provides this same information for all of the New Accounts created during the Mass Account Creation process.
The difference is that the Subscriber Panel's Master CSID references this data, but in this Mass Account Creation process the related Base CSID information is actually copied to each New Account that is created.
Typically this Base CSID functionality is used so that the Dealer may have included in the Subscriber records that will be created, certain predefined default Events, the Dealer's internal People To Call and any CSID Zones the Dealer (almost) always uses for their Subscriber's installations (or perhaps just for the specific type of installations for which this block of Accounts will be used).
Accommodating this capability (having specialize sets of CSID Zones, People To Call and Events defined) may require that multiple Subscriber Entries for an Alarm Dealer have to be created.
This is because there may be different sets of CSID Zones, People To Call and Events they want copied to the different blocks of Accounts created for specific usages such as a block of Accounts for Commercial, for Residential, for Industrial, for Fire, for Supervised, for Non-Supervised, etc., new Accounts.
When you want to include a specific set of CSID Zones, People To Call and Events, Click the Base CSID field's Search Icon and Choose the needed Subscriber record from within the Base CSID Search list presented.
